This is different. Let’s see how it goes. Here’s an original.

Raining in Istanbul
Just sitting at the corner of cobblestone streets
Sipping a coffee - black, not sweet
A weekday morning but vacation for me
Start out with a “kick” and good book to read
Then I put the book down
Distracted by the sound
Of rain splashing on the pavement
Got to thinking ‘bout life
The days gone by
And what all my path to here’s meant
Was it right
Was it wrong
Well, it was what it was
The road ahead now’s up to me
I can choose what I want
Be whom I want
The choice is a sign that I’m free
People walk past
Most soaking wet
Some mind, and some they don’t care
Each with his own path
And at her own pace
But all on their way to somewhere
Where is that somewhere
Where are they heading, where am I
Again, it comes back to the choices we make
Every day that goes by
I think of the many choices I've made
That led me right here to this chair
Too many to count
So I won’t even try
Will just enjoy the rain and fresh air
Then soon I’ll get up and get on with my life
Don’t know when I’ll come back again
Whatever the path
Will look back and smile
On my time in the Istanbul rain
